Working Group on Civil and Human Rights of Transgender and Non-Binary People Interchange Report
Context & Work
The committee maintains a website with resources.
For context, the Family Research Council has a 5-point plan for driving transgender people out of public life. This 5-point plan is part of an overall attempt to drive a wedge between the transgender community and the LGB portion of the LGBTQ+ community. The ultimate goal in separating these communities is to legally enshrine strict gender roles, rolling back advancements in women’s rights and gay and lesbian rights.
One of our first actions as a working group has been opposing the transgender military ban, a policy found in that 5-point plan.
