Ways to Give to BYM
You can make a difference for Baltimore Yearly Meeting!
Your tax-deductible gift helps serve the 50 local worshipping communities, 7,000 Friends, and 600 young people supported by the programs and activities of Baltimore Yearly Meeting each year. Here are just some of the ways that gifts to BYM support our vibrant community of Quakers in the southern mid-Atlantic.
- $5,000 – Underwrites the costs for 2 STRIDE campers to attend our BYM Quaker camps, as well as equipping them with outdoor gear, so they have everything they need to find their fire at the center!
- $2,500 – Publishes our BYM eNewsletter for 3 months, bringing news from Monthly Meetings, Yearly Meeting Committees, and spiritual and educational opportunities to all our BYM family
- $1,000 – Supports 5 of our BYM Friends in attending Annual Session
- $500 – Keeps the lights and computers on at 17100 Quaker Lane for a month, allowing for program creation and implementation, counseling and consultation
- $250 – Brings First Day curriculum to a growing Monthly Meeting
- $100 – Serves dinner to 5 volunteers at a weekend work camp!
All donations in support of our BYM programs are vitally important, greatly appreciated, and tax-deductible.
Our 2023 goal of $350,000 will keep all our programs and people serving our BYM community!
Ways to Give to BYM!
Donate Online Donate now using our on-line portal. You can make a one- time donation, or contribute on a monthly basis through automatic withdrawal from a bank account, or through credit card.
Consider joining BYM’s 115 generous Sustaining Quakers Sustaining Quakers are generous individuals and families who make monthly donations to BYM through credit card or automatic withdrawals (ACH). Safe and convenient, monthly donations are so important in our ability to plan our budget, knowing that we have this sustainable, regular stream of support.
Give through ACH Your automatic donation through withdrawal from a checking or savings account is the most cost-effective method of on-line giving to BYM, saving us over 3% in credit card costs! Please consider this generous method of giving!

Stock and Securities The liquidation and transfer of proceeds from publicly traded stocks or bonds can be donated directly to Baltimore Yearly Meeting. Please take a moment to fill out Section I of the Friends Fiduciary Stock and Securities Notification document and send it to Development@bym-rsf.org or call 301-658-3384, so we are aware of your generosity, and can thank you appropriately!
IRA Charitable Distributions A Qualified Charitable Distribution is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian, payable to a qualified charity. A QCD excludes the amount donated from taxable income. BYM is a qualified charity for IRA distributions. Please contact your IRA Custodian to make a gift to BYM. The EIN ("tax ID") for BYM is: 52-0856309.
Planned Giving Through a planned gift, you provide support for BYM in a way that leaves a sustainable, lasting legacy!
Bequest The simplest way to leave a lasting legacy to BYM is through your will.
You can leave a percentage of your estate or a specific sum, to Baltimore Yearly Meeting by updating your will to include instructions to that effect. You can use the following language:
“I (name) of (city, state, ZIP), give, devise and bequeath _______ (a percentage of the residue of your estate or specific dollar amount) to Baltimore Yearly Meeting, located at 17110 Quaker Lane, Sandy Spring, MD 20860, its general purposes or as the Board of Trustees may direct.”
If you would prefer to direct your bequest towards a particular program area; Camps, STRIDE, Spiritual Formation, etc., please so indicate.
