Join the Special Campaign for Opequon Quaker Camp
100 YEARS OF FIRE AT THE CENTER Since 1922, Baltimore Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) has ministered to the spiritual growth and joy of young people through the ambitious summer camping program of BYM Camps. Over the last 100 years, BYM Camps has grown to a family of four summer camp programs spread along the Appalachian Mountains – Opequon, Catoctin, Shiloh, and Teen Adventure. Serving more than 600 young people each year, each of our four camps offers distinctive programming tied together by the belief that there is “that of God” in each of us. We build vibrant, diverse, and youth-centered camp communities where everyone can find – and shine - their Light.
THE NEXT 100 YEARS As we enter the next century of BYM Camps, our creative arts camp, Opequon Quaker Camp, has moved to a new home at the Rolling Ridge Conservancy in Harper’s Ferry, WV. This beautiful, permanent home for Opequon Quaker Camp is the next step in the growth and long-term sustainability of BYM Camps. We continue to deepen our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion for Friends of all ages for years to come.
WE ARE RAISING MONEY TO BUILD OPEQUON QUAKER CAMP – HELP US IGNITE THE FUTURE! Your Support will make the Difference.
At BYM Camps, we believe that people from diverse backgrounds can come together, build authentic friendships, have ridiculous amounts of fun, make life-long memories all while living in a community where everyone is seen, heard and valued.
