Come find out more about the money that your Meeting sends to BYM! The Stewardship and Finance Committee hosts this annual meeting to consider issues related to apportionment – that is, financial support of BYM. Friends will gather beginning at 9:30am for coffee and snacks. The session will begin at 10:00 and will be devoted to a review of the first draft of the 2020 budget and apportionment. For documents related to the budget and apportionment, go to www.bym-rsf.org/what_we_do/committees/sandf. Please go to www.bym-rsf.org/events/ymevents/apportionreg.html to register for your preferred meeting location so that our hosts may know how many Friends to expect.
BYM Peace & Social Concerns Networking Day workshops will be offered on Sat., 4/6/19, 9:30-3:30 pm will be held at the Sidwell Friends School, 3825 Wisconsin Ave, Washington, DC 20016.
Before workshops, Friends are encouraged to mingle & discuss programs & we’ll discuss the “hard turn” towards extremism in our politics. At lunch and on tables, we also may share information on: a bill in Congress to de-militarize police, electric cars, and George Lakey’s new book How We Win.
Fact sheets, contact info. & other take-home resources about these also should be available.
Please RSVP by email to pcaroom@gmail.com, telling how many Friends will attend & identifying your meeting, and your choice of a.m. & p.m. workshop.
Continental breakfast will be provided --and a vegan lunch will be provided by BYM’s Working Group on Right Relationships with Animals. Donations to cover costs will be welcome!
Send submissions by the close of business on Monday, April 8 for inclusion in the Spring 2019 edition of the Interchange.
