The Work That Reconnects: Discovering Strategies for Going Forth
In these times of climate chaos, rampant inequality, systemic racism, and other daily catastrophes, there is often tension between our desire to take urgent action and our many feelings as we see and fear what is happening in our world. We often experience despair, anger, fear, and burnout as we navigate this tension, and at times it feels easier to turn away and close ourselves off. This workshop offers us skills and practices that help us to reconnect with ourselves and with others. In these practices, we acknowledge the reality of these times, discover our allies, and uncover the strength and renewed vision to bring forth the world we desire.
This experiential workshop is designed to transform our despair and overwhelm into inspired collaborative action.
Based on the work of the environmental author, activist, Buddhist scholar, and systems theorist Joanna Macy, The Work that Reconnects is a transformational group process that has been offered thousands of times around the world. This workshop builds motivation, connection, solidarity, and vision – renewing our courage to act for the healing of our world.
