Michael Moore, FWC Board Member and experienced meditator, will lead the group from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. It will be held in the Tree House, but first go to the Niles Cabin to check in. You’ll experience several styles of meditation, some of which will involve physical movement and show you how to find and follow your body's own intuitive paths. The workshop may include a "Walking Meditation" to the nearby spring if time and weather permit. Everyone is welcome. Bring a sack lunch and whatever non-alcoholic beverages you require. Contact Sheila Bach (304-728-4820 or snbach@earthlink.net) for reservations and directions. Try our new directions to Niles Cabin using MapQuest. Richard Weidner, FWC Board Member and Qi Gong practitioner, will be teaching and leading this workshop at the Niles Cabin from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Qi Gong is the 4000 year old Chinese practice of aligning breath, movement, and awareness for exercise, healing, and meditation. This will be an introduction, including some mild physical movements, to Qi (Chi) Gong. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Some of the first session exercises may be done in a sitting position for those not capable of them in a standing posture. You may bring your own bag lunch and beverage or have a home cooked lunch at the Niles Cabin for an additional $10.00 charge. Contact Sheila Bach (304-728-4820 or snbach@earthlink.net) for directions, more information, reservations, and reservation changes. Try our new directions to Niles Cabin using MapQuest. Come spend a day of fellowship, good food (free lunch for all who volunteer), and celebration in the joys of spring as we make progress on the ‘To Do’ list for chores around the Niles Cabin, the tree house, and the trails. Chores can include: window-washing; painting, clearing brush and tree branches; dig hole for compost can; cutting and stacking wood; and foundation planting. It’s fun, it’s time well spent in the great outdoors and it is much needed to keep the cabin and its environs in good shape. Please RSVP to Sheila Bach so she can plan lunch accordingly.
