Join Friends in West Virginia for a Quaker weekend retreat. There will be time for worship, workshops, socialization, shared meals, movies, and discussions. A Gathering for Friends of Color and their immediate family members is being sponsored by FGC’s Ministry on Racism Program from Friday, November 1 at noon to Sunday, November 3 at noon at William Penn House. This is an opportunity for Friends of Color and their families on the East Coast to build a multigenerational community through mutual support and sharing, worship, exploring our Faith, sharing what brought us to Friends, and identifying ways to support each other. CURE is a grassroots organization that believes that prisons should be used only for those who absolutely must be incarcerated and that those who are incarcerated should have all of the resources they need to turn their lives around. Join Friends from around the country at the annual meeting of Friends Committee on National Legislation to lobby, conduct FCNL business and finalize FCNL’s Legislative Policy for the next 10 years. The 35th Anniversary InterFaith Concert will offer an experience of music, food, and presentations from different faith communities including: Hindu and Jain, Jewish, Latter-day Saints, Protestant, Sikh, And a Combined Choir of our 11 faith traditions. It will honor 25 years of service by IFC’s Executive Director Reverend Clark Lobenstine, and be hosted by JC Hayward.
