Stand Up For All People of the World and For Future Generations - Join the Quaker contingent at the People’s Climate March
On Sunday afternoon, Sept. 21, hundreds of thousands of people will take part in the People’s Climate March in Manhattan, including people of faith, environmental groups and many others – calling on world leaders to commit to a strong climate change treaty. Many buses will go to New York, some for the day only, and some on Friday and Saturday. For details on Friday or Saturday buses, contact Greater Washington Interfaith Power & Light 202-709-7641. For buses up and back on 9/21, go to HoCo Climate Change at hococlimatechange.org (up and back on 9/21). Amtrak, Megabus, Boltbus and Greyhound also offer various choices for travel.

Best of all, there are a limited number of sleeping spots in three meetinghouses in Manhattan. New York Friends are opening their doors to Friends from around the country. These spots are limited and may be full, but it is best to get current information at the New York Yearly Meeting's website, nyym.org, where there is a link to sign up for hospitality.
