This topic will be the focus for the Annual Networking Day of BYM’s Peace and Social Concerns Committee. All Local Meeting Peace and Social Concerns Committee members and interested Friends are invited to William Penn House (515 E Capitol St. SE, Washington, DC) from 10 am to 2 pm. We will focus on:

• Hearing about and networking between the various works and interests of the different Meetings;
• Spotlighting aspects of the Middle East conflict. The committee has been asked to consider a Minute on Divestment from corporations profiting from Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands;
• As we explore this sensitive and emotionally-charged issue, our ultimate hope is to create a process through which we can better serve BYM on all issues brought to us.

Please contact Brad Ogilvie (brad@williampennhouse.org) so that the Committee may better plan food and meeting rooms. William Penn House is a ten minute walk from Eastern Market Metro and 15 minutes from Union Station. On weekends there are no street parking restrictions. See more at www.williampennhouse.org.
