Living Through Grief and Loss, Part 2

1:00 pm4:00 pm
Friends Meeting of Washington (Washington, DC)

Grief is the heart’s natural response to the loss of something important, whether it’s the death of a loved one or pet, the break-up of a relationship, loss of health, job loss, or a myriad of other losses. The grief process, while healthy and natural, often creates a constellation of emotions and reactions that are hard to handle, and it can be a time of isolation and confusion. This workshop is designed to help anyone who is going through a significant loss navigate through the process and learn about the nature of grief and the journey to healing. In this safe, supportive environment, participants will develop a deeper understanding of their experience, and find comfort in knowing they are not alone in their suffering. The workshop will begin at 1:00pm and end at 4:00. Admission is $25 and you can register by contacting the FMW office. (202-483-3310 or admin@quakersdc.org) For those interested in continuing, six weeks of follow up small support group meetings will be offered on Tuesday evenings, November 7 – December 12. For more information contact: Marsha Holliday hollidaymsd@yahoo.com or 202 544 2629.
