Healing & Rebuilding Our Communities with Refugees
Join us for a small group experience to explore the ways in which community healing and empowerment may promote a safer and more peaceful resettlement process for refugees and their families. Theoneste Bizimana, HROC Coordinator in Rwanda for African Great Lakes Initiative, will be featured. Participants will apply fundamental concepts of the HROC basic trainings to work with refugees in the United States. Complex trauma and grief have a profound impact on the physical and emotional capacity of individuals to acculturate. The session will be held from 9 am - 4 pm at Stony Run Friends Meeting in Baltimore. A simple lunch will be provided. The registration fee is $75.Questions?
