Adelphi Friends Meeting invites all to the U.S. premier of a new documentary film called Street Child World Cup, a follow-the-kids look at homeless street children and young adults in Burundi who participated in a 2014 Street Child World Cup in Brazil. The work of one of Adelphi's newest attenders, Joseph Ndayisenga, a 27-year old Paris-educated Burundian, the film debuted in Burundi in April. Joseph, and other Quaker Burundians, are under the care of Adelphi Friends as they seek asylum and a new life in America. The presentation will begin at 6pm, with the film maker and discussion to follow.
Lamar Matthew will present this part of the celebration of York Meeting's 250th anniversary. The presentation will begin at 9:30am. Call 717-814-8437 for more details.
